Course Summary

In this course, we'll be exploring basic kinesiology concepts (e.g., terms of position and direction, terms of movement, etc.); the names and locations of all the major bones in the body; important landmarks of each bone; skeletal and connective tissues (e.g., bone tissue, ligaments, cartilage, etc.); the major joints in the body, including their functional and structural classification, the movements they allow, and their ligamentous and/or disc structures; and the common injuries that may occur at the knee, ankle, shoulder, wrist and spinal joints, as well as strategies for their prevention both on and off the yoga mat.
