A breath-centered, mindful movement course for embodied steadiness and somatic resilience

Introduction

This course is currently in development. Designed as the entry point into the Zenyasa® method, it offers a clear and accessible introduction to breath-centered, mindful movement that supports nervous system regulation, physical steadiness, and embodied resilience — whether you’re new to mindful movement or returning after time away.

Through structured lessons and guided practices, you’ll build somatic awareness, skillful alignment, and the foundational movement patterns that define and distinguish the Zenyasa® method.

What You'll Learn

Zenyasa® Foundations teaches the core skills, sequences, and principles of the Zenyasa method — a breath-led, somatic movement practice designed to cultivate grounding, balance, and presence.

Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to:

  • Connect breath and movement to support nervous system regulation 
  • Build physical steadiness through mindful alignment and foundational shapes  
  • Develop deeper body awareness and interoception
  • Practice grounding sequences such as “Opening the Gates” and “Mountain Flow”  
  • Move with clarity, intention, and a sense of internal spaciousness 
  • Establish patterns of embodied presence that support emotional and cognitive resilience

These practices create the baseline of embodied steadiness that prepares you for deeper somatic work in the full Zenyasa curriculum.

How This Course Fits Into the Zenyasa Wellness Pathway

Zenyasa® Foundations is the somatic pillar of the Zenyasa Wellness Embodied Wisdom pathway — complementing ACT (psychological flexibility) and DBT (emotional steadiness) with physiological grounding and embodied presence.

In this course, you’ll learn through three integrated modes:  

Education — understanding the method, principles, and foundational concepts
Integration — reflective prompts to connect physical patterns with emotional and cognitive states
Embodiment — guided practices that cultivate breath awareness, grounding, and movement clarity
