Meditation & Mindfulness

Cultivating steadiness in formal practice and daily life

Meditation & Mindfulness is a weekly contemplative space to slow down, observe your experience, and gently strengthen your capacity for presence — both on the cushion and in the midst of everyday life.

Through guided meditation and practical mindfulness experiments, this 6-week container supports clarity, nervous-system regulation, and a more skillful relationship with attention.

About This Practice

This class is not about achieving calm or mastering a single meditation technique. It is an exploration. Each week, we practice short, guided meditations drawn from different contemplative traditions. We may work with:

  • Breath awareness
  • Body-based attention
  • Compassion practices
  • Observing thoughts and emotions
  • Anchoring attention during activation

Alongside formal meditation, we explore how mindfulness can be woven into daily rhythms — including:

  • Mindful mornings
  • Mindful eating
  • Mindful walking
  • Mindful conversation
  • Pausing between transitions

We aren't striving for perfection. Rather, we're just increasing awareness, and gently strengthening your ability to return to this moment when you've been somewhere else.

A Relaxed Approach

You don’t need prior experience.
You don’t need to sit perfectly still.
You don’t need to silence your mind.
Minds wander. Bodies fidget. Some days feel clearer than others.

Rather than striving for calm, we cultivate:

  • Curiosity
  • Steadiness
  • Emotional flexibility
  • Kindness toward inner experience

This isn't a formal silent retreat or a test of discipline.
It’s a supportive container for building discernment and resilience through awareness.

Meditation and Mindfulness

Complementary Practices

Sitting meditation gives us a laboratory — a structured environment to observe breath, sensation, and thought with fewer distractions.

Everyday mindfulness gives us integration — an opportunity to practice presence while cooking, working, walking, or speaking.

Together, they support:

  • Nervous-system regulation
  • Greater emotional steadiness
  • Increased capacity to pause before reacting
  • A more compassionate relationship with yourself

The goal is not to feel calm all the time.
If there is a goal at all, it is simply to relate more skillfully with whatever arises.

Who This is For

Meditation & Mindfulness may be a good fit if you:

  • Want a consistent, structured meditation rhythm
  • Feel curious about bringing mindfulness into daily life
  • Appreciate gentle pacing over intensity
  • Are navigating stress or transition and want steadier ground
  • Value small-group conversation and optional reflection

Sharing during class is always optional.
You’re welcome to speak, reflect in the chat, or simply listen.

How the Class is Structured

Each weekly session includes:

  • A brief arrival and check-in
  • Guided meditation practice
  • Integration and reflection
  • Everyday mindfulness discussion

Classes are live and interactive, with recordings available throughout the 6-week cycle.
The pace is steady and intentional.
There is no pressure to “keep up.”

The Role of This Class in the Larger Ecosystem

Meditation & Mindfulness complements both Resilience Coaching and Zenyasa® movement practice.

It offers a place to:

  • Integrate psychological skills
  • Support embodied regulation
  • Reflect on lived experience
  • Deepen awareness across domains

Some students enroll in this class on its own.

Either way, the intention is the same:
