Course Summary

ACT Essentials is a six-week group coaching course designed to strengthen psychological flexibility — the core skill at the heart of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Psychological flexibility is the ability to stay present, open, and engaged with life, even when thoughts and emotions are difficult. Rather than trying to eliminate discomfort or “think positively,” ACT offers practical tools for changing how you relate to inner experience so you can respond with greater clarity, steadiness, and intention.  

Through clear, experiential lessons and guided practices, this course helps you step out of mental struggle, reconnect with what truly matters, and take meaningful action aligned with your values.


Who This Course is For

ACT Essentials may be a good fit if you:

  • Struggle with unhelpful thoughts, rumination, or overthinking 
  • Want tools to relate to emotions with more openness and less resistance  
  • Feel stuck, reactive, or disconnected from purpose  
  • Want support making choices guided by values rather than avoidance  
  • Prefer a practical, mindfulness-based approach to emotional wellbeing  
  • Are working with a therapist and want skills to practice between sessions

Whether you’re new to ACT or already familiar with its ideas, this course offers a clear, accessible pathway toward greater psychological flexibility and inner steadiness.


What You’ll Practice and Learn

ACT Essentials introduces the core processes of ACT through experiential learning and real-world application. Over six weeks, you’ll learn how to:

  • Unhook from unhelpful thoughts and rigid mental patterns 
  • Relate to difficult emotions with more openness and compassion  
  • Strengthen present-moment awareness and attentional flexibility  
  • Clarify deeply held values that guide meaningful action  
  • Take committed, values-aligned action, even when discomfort is present  
  • Build resilience through flexibility, rather than control or avoidance

These skills support healthier, more grounded relationships — with yourself and with others — and help you respond to life with greater choice and intention.


Weekly Live Sessions

Each live session is a 90-minute group coaching class and includes:

  • Guided mindfulness and awareness practices 
  • Clear teaching of ACT concepts using accessible language  
  • Experiential exercises to explore thoughts, emotions, and values  
  • Reflection and discussion to support integration into daily life  
  • Space for questions and shared learning within a supportive group environment

Sessions are structured, participatory, and practical — emphasizing real-life application rather than theory alone.


Course Curriculum

Access & Scheduling

  • One live group session per week (90 minutes) 
  • The coaching group is offered in two weekly cohorts — you’re encouraged to choose one primary cohort to attend consistently
  • All sessions are recorded and available for replay, allowing you to engage with the material at a pace that fits your life
  • If you miss your regular session, you may attend the alternate cohort that week as a make-up or watch the session recording

Course access remains available for 90 days from the date of enrollment, allowing time for review, reflection, and integration beyond the live sessions.

Because access to digital materials and course content is provided immediately upon enrollment, this program is non-refundable once access has been granted.
