Course Summary

DBT Emotion Regulation is a skills-based coaching group designed to help you understand your emotions more clearly, reduce emotional vulnerability, and cultivate habits that support long-term steadiness and resilience.

Rather than trying to control or suppress emotions, this course focuses on learning how emotions work, recognizing patterns before they escalate, and responding with intention instead of automatic reactions. Over time, these skills help create a steadier internal environment where emotions feel more workable and less overwhelming.

Through structured teaching, guided reflection, and real-life application, you’ll learn how to build emotional balance in a way that feels practical, humane, and sustainable.

Who This Course is For

DBT Emotion Regulation may be a supportive fit if you:

  • Experience emotional swings, lingering low moods, or frequent overwhelm
  • Want to feel more balanced, consistent, and grounded in daily life
  • Notice patterns of emotional reactivity that you’d like to interrupt earlier
  • Want tools for reducing vulnerability to stress before emotions intensify
  • Appreciate structured, evidence-based skills taught with compassion
  • Are working with a therapist or coach and want practical skills between sessions

This course is appropriate whether you’re new to DBT or already familiar with the framework and want deeper integration.

What You’ll Practice and Learn

This course teaches the core DBT Emotion Regulation skills — tools designed to strengthen emotional resilience over time.

Through guided practices, discussion, and applied exercises, you’ll learn how to:

  • Understand the function and purpose of emotions
  • Recognize emotional patterns early, before they escalate
  • Reduce vulnerability to emotional overwhelm using the ABC PLEASE skills
  • Build daily habits that support emotional balance and wellbeing
  • Strengthen emotional flexibility and psychological resilience
  • Respond to feelings with clarity instead of old reactive patterns

Together, these skills support a steadier inner landscape — one where emotions are informative rather than consuming.

Weekly Live Sessions

Each live session is a 90-minute DBT coaching group and includes:

  • Clear teaching of DBT Emotion Regulation skills
  • Guided reflection and experiential exercises
  • Practical examples for applying skills in daily life
  • Space for questions, discussion, and integration
  • Supportive group learning in a calm, structured environment

Sessions are facilitated in a coaching-group format, emphasizing understanding, practice, and real-world application rather than analysis or emotional processing.
